Day 9 Quy Nohn, originally uploaded by Big Al!.

Leaving Nha Trang we follow the coast north, enjoying blazing sun and dazzling views of the south China sea, islands and fishing boats, before stopping for lunch at yet another idyllic beach. Afternoon brings challenging climbs and a cruise through a village in the middle of rice harvesting, people everywhere and rice spread out over the road to dry. We arrive in Quy Nhon in time for dinner followed by a drink on the rooftop bar.

Day 10 Hoi An, originally uploaded by Big Al!.

First a visit to the museum at the site of the My Lai massacre. Then a ride through small villages, kids shouting hello and giving high fives to the riders, adults frying rice on the road and herding ducks, busses weaving through the swarming mopeds. To Hoi An. First stop one of the many tailors to be fitted for a hand-made, bespoke suit, before dinner by the river and a night in the Before and Now bar.
