Pudong at night is so much better than the Bund, if you have a camera. You’ll walk around, seemingly the only person outside in a city of 24 million, and every time you turn round you’ll think “oh wow, look at that”

If you visit Shanghai, spend an hour on the Bund. You’ll get the same photos as everyone else, and everyone else will be there. Walk a mile in either direction and you’ll have the exact same view.

Then go over to Pudong, at night, climb over the gate into the park once it’s closed, and you’ll be in photography heaven, wishing you had better skill with a camera.
