Scenery

First disaster of the day – chain off and stuck. No tools cos we’re on rentals.

Stranded miles from town.

With Dave’s bike stuck, I went off and found a mechanic at Moto Salir.

Cool workshop.

Moto Salir to the rescue.

Mechanic’s bike. He rode it over very tricky rough trails, one-handed with a big toolbox on his lap. Hero!

Evening beer on the balcony.

The reward for a day of riding.

Another day begins.

Bikes all ready for another day on the trails….

…if the damn thing will start.

Back on the road

Still some rain.

Mostly sun.

Another roadside refreshment.

Bikes to bed for the night.

Bedtime beckons, but first…

Sunny start to the day at the marina.

Sunny evening back at the hotel and marina.

Heading out to find a bar. Dave has his own!

Perfect end to the day.

Bike starting troubles.

Found a new playground.

Rest stop.

First water crossing.

Local lunch – best ham and cheese ever.

Locally caught fresh fish for dinner.

Nom nom nom.

Not exactly high season.

Beer seems particularly refreshing after a day learning to ride off-road.

Arrive at airport.

Rent DT 125s.

Arrive hotel.

Hotel is pretty good.

Head out of town and immediately find awesome off-road routes.

Having a bloody great time!

End the day with a well-earned beer.
